A new first move is on the market, the latest cryptocurrency news show. We are talking about the large crypto trading platform which is working on a software that would make the BTC purchases possible for millions of people through Automated Teller Machines (ATMs).

As an official press release on Wednesday (July 3, 2019) confirmed, new software developed by the fintech company, Just , would upgrade the traditional ATMs and enable the of cryptocurrency.

The Candian-based cryptocurrency exchange platform Coinsquare announced the news in a press release, confirming the controlling position in the fintech company. With this development, Just Cash would function as a feature for Coinsquare BTC purchases the cryptocurrency exchange platform.

The CEO of Coinsquare, Cole Diamond, spoke on the benefits of the software. He was featured on many best cryptocurrency news sites for noting that adoption was not widespread because of the complex associated with purchasing the virtual currency.

(function ($) {
var bsaProContainer = $(‘.bsaProContainer-7’);
var number_show_ads = “0”;
var number_hide_ads = “0”;
if ( number_show_ads > 0 ) {

}
if ( number_hide_ads > 0 ) {
setTimeout(function () { bsaProContainer.fadeOut(); }, number_hide_ads * 1000);
}
})(jQuery);

Diamond announced the Coinsquare BTC purchases by stating:

“Bitcoin is new and unfamiliar to many, but ATMs are not. By tapping into the existing global ATM network, cryptocurrency can finally reach the masses. We are bringing that familiar and trusted process into the cryptocurrency world, and vice versa, for the first time.”

In addition to this, the purchasing digital currency on these ATMs is relatively simple since is an absence of additional hardware or mobile apps. The Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Just Cash, Todd Lawrence, also spoke and added that collaborating with Canada’s biggest cryptocurrency trading platform would ensure that the software is updated on millions of ATMs.

While the Coinsquare BTC purchases are coming to the world via ATMs, Vancouver is calling for the ban of Bitcoin ATMs. As the altcoin news showed last month, the mayor of the state Kennedy Stewart suggested a blanket ban on BTC ATMs.

This is largely because of the number of Bitcoin ATM scams. In 2018, for instance, scammers posing as debt collectors deceived four victims in Australia and made them deposit over $50,000 in a Bitcoin ATM. Other that, crypto ATMs have seen tremendous growth in the second quarter of this year, and North America continues to have the spotlight having 74.2% of the total ATMs in the world.

Coinsquare Takes Controlling Interest in Crypto ATM Company Just Cash

Canadian crypto exchange Coinsquare has announced that it made a controlling investment in Just Cash, a fintech company connecting regular ATMs to the crypto sphere.

Just Cash operates software that can allow everyday ATMs to sell crypto assets to customers directly, without the need for “new hardware, additional capital investments by the operator or a mobile application by the user to purchase through the ATM.”

Coinsquare has previously dealt in precious trading, it shuttered this service in 2018 and transitioned to being a cryptocurrency exchange only. This new expansion into ATMs allows the company to once again diversify its offerings.

Just Cash is able to do the legwork to connect ATMs to Coinsquare’s crypto platform, and Coinsquare’s sizeable liquidity will allow these ATMs to conveniently service more customers than Just Cash could manage alone. However, it is not explicitly clear how many ATMs are working at the moment.

In an interview with Bitcoin Magazine, Coinsquare’s CEO Cole Diamond claimed that “there is an existing network of 250,000 non-banking ATMs in the United States.” He added that “Just Cash has developed a solution to convert those machines into cryptocurrency ATMs, to be able to both buy and sell through those machines … There’s need to put cash in these machines.”

Using these ATMs, cash directly from users’ bank accounts are used in crypto transactions, and paper wallets containing public and private keys are printed out. Users are also able to sell crypto assets using a mobile app. There are still solutions in progress to connect these paper wallets to the network more directly.

Crypto ATMs and Bitcoin Adoption

“Right now, there is a lack of mainstream cryptocurrency adoption because people are intimidated by the process to acquire it,” Diamond said in the company statement. “By using the millions of existing ATMs around the world, we can now the gap and give new users the and familiar experience to purchase cryptocurrency.” In the long term, Diamond expects that the company’s will apply this software to roughly 250,000 machines .

Just Cash “will operate under the Coinsquare brand in the future,” according to the press release. Just Cash’s co-founder Todd Lawrence said, “We’re excited to join forces with Coinsquare and work toward enabling millions of ATMs with our software,” so this should give some idea into the possible range of customers that can access cryptocurrency with Coinsquare’s more sizable liquidity.

Diamond also alluded to a new project, still under wraps, that Coinsquare is working on, “By the end of next year at the absolute ,” he told Bitcoin Magazine, “it’ll be in every neighborhood across America, with a significant ramp up from here to the next eighteen months.”

“Right now, we’re giving them the ability to buy [crypto], and it’s sitting on a paper wallet. We’ve got to give them the opportunity to immediately access the entire ecosystem, and we’re creating those products that us into that next level,” he said, adding that he couldn’t go into details at this time.
